Cameroon Football Team

EDM number 1220 in 1989-90, proposed by David Marshall on 03/07/1990.

That this House expresses its appreciation of the performances of the Cameroon football team in the World Cup and the skills and exuberance displayed by its players; congratulates them on being the first African team to reach the quarter final stages; regrets that they did not progress further as they deserved to do so; and hopes that all four national football associations in the United Kingdom will invite the Cameroon team to come here in the near future to play a series of friendly matches, which would be sure to be greatly appreciated by all true fans, in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

This motion has been ammended, see 844A1.
