The Global Environment

That this House notes with concern the continuing anxieties of a number of scientists who consider that the proposed action and the modest steps so far taken to protect the global environment are quite inadequate; expresses alarm at the possibility that the ozone layer could decrease by up to one-fifth during this decade; and considers that bans on chlorofluorocarbons, halons and carbon tetrachloride should be in force within two years rather than by the year 2000.
