Nuclear Waste In Northern Scotland
EDM number 1204 in 1989-90, proposed by Ray Michie on 28/06/1990.
That this House deplores the inconsistency of the Secretary of State for Scotland in claiming to protect the environment by rejecting the application for skiing in Lurcher's Gully while simultaneously rejecting Highland Region's wish to exclude the possibility of the dumping of nuclear waste in Northern Scotland; and calls upon him to reconsider this over-ruling of the considered views of the elected representatives of the Highlands.
This motion has been signed by a total of 5 MPs.
