That this House congratulates the Gloucestershire Regiment and the Royal Gloucestershire Hussars on the recent opening of the Regiments of Gloucestershire Museum; thanks His Royal Highness the Duke of Gloucester for opening the museum as Colonel in Chief of the regiment; looks forward to its tercentenary celebrations in 1994; wishes the regiment continued success to add to its outstanding, glorious and distinguished traditions; and urges Her Majesty's Government to ensure that the regiment can continue to maintain its unique and independent position in the British Army for many years to come.
