King's Cross Development
EDM number 118 in 1989-90, proposed by Tony Lloyd on 30/11/1989.
That this House is mindful of the need to ensure that the North of England exploits to the full the benefits from the opening of the Channel Tunnel and in this connection the requirement to develop Kings Cross as the second international passenger terminal serving passengers between the Channel Tunnel and the regions; rejects pressures for the development of Stratford because it has no direct connections with the Tunnel and because it provides very poor interchange facilities for northern passengers both in the short and longer term; and calls upon the Kings Cross Railways Bill Committee to complete its proceedings as a matter of the utmost urgency in the interests of the North and the nation as a whole.
This motion has been signed by a total of 41 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
