Housing In Plymouth And The Housing Corporation
EDM number 1150 in 1989-90, proposed by Clive Soley on 20/06/1990.
That this House notes with concern that Plymouth's housing programme will be drastically reduced and instead of getting hundreds of new homes they will now get only 11; notes the Conservative chair of the City Council's housing committee is quoted as saying the Housing Corporation has made 'a complete hash' of funding housing and that 'if local government officers had conducted themselves in this way they would have been sacked'; and therefore calls on the Minister of Housing and the honourable Members for Plymouth to intervene and ensure that the people of Plymouth do get the housing they need and deserve.
