Investment In Rail

EDM number 1118 in 1989-90, proposed by Ann Winterton on 14/06/1990.

That this House is aware of the vital importance of the Channel Tunnel to the regions including the North West, and the necessity for further rail investment not just for passenger travel but also for freight to enable the fast, efficient export of manufactured goods from the North to their continental destinations; and believes that such investment is both economically and environmentally justified.

This motion has been signed by a total of 13 MPs.
