The Big Day In Glasgow

That this House notes the outstanding success of The Big Day on Sunday 3rd June, when 300,000 people took part in a huge street festival as part of Glasgow's year as European City of Culture; recognises the support, financial and otherwise, provided by Glasgow District Council, Strathclyde Regional Council and Channel 4 TV; and congratulates all those who attended the various events and who, by their magnificent behaviour, further enhanced the city's image worldwide.
