Family Credit Regulations

EDM number 1058 in 1989-90, proposed by Dafydd Wigley on 05/06/1990.

That this House draws attention to the considerable difficulties being experienced by self-employed families on low incomes in securing Family Credit, particularly in areas where seasonal work such as that arising from tourism or agriculture are predominant; is dismayed at the nit-picking queries and other delays that hold back payment of Family Credit from those families; and calls on the Government to review as a matter of urgency the regulations governing this scheme and also the working of the scheme, so that all potential beneficiaries can be helped with the minimum of delay.

This motion has been signed by a total of 15 MPs.
