Travel Allowances For Councillors
EDM number 1045 in 1989-90, proposed by Terry Davis on 22/05/1990.
That this House does not consider that there is any justification for councillors being paid less than civil servants and honourable Members for the cost of using their cars in the performance of their duties; and urges the Government to bring the travel allowances for councillors into line with the allowances for civil servants and honourable Members.
This motion has been signed by a total of 14 MPs.
