Quality In Television

That this House believes that the proved and tested regional network of independent television can best be strengthened by a system of competitive tender which allows both the size of the financial bid and the range and quality of programming to be judged in tandem; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to reflect this objective in the forthcoming Broadcasting Bill.
